A fifth of Britons intend to rely less on driving and more on walking and cycling as lockdown continues to ease – with the figure rising to 40 per cent in London.

A nationally representative survey of 2,000 people also found that 48 per cent of Brits want to work from home in the long term, in part to reduce the carbon footprint of their commute – a number which increases to 64 per cent in London.

Meanwhile, 53 per cent of millennials say a company’s approach to sustainability is a key consideration for them when looking for a job, according to the survey by Targus, the recycled laptop bag and tech accessory maker.
